Today was our master's birthday. So we decided to take a walk in Guindon Park - one of our favourite walks. It is a great place to see so many of God's creatures. The most interesting one we saw today was this snapping turtle who was sunning himself on a giant rock.
Our master was actually the one who saw him, but once Tallulah got a look she decided to run over and say hi. The only problem was that to get to the turtle Tallulah had to go through the swamp. Kim yelled at her to stop, but there was no way. The turtle dove into the water, the nearby blue heron flew away and Tallulah was dirty and very wet. She also got herself stuck in the mud!!
Twice she tried to pull herself out but couldn't. I tried to jump in to help, but Kim then yelled at me two stop - so I did. Just as Kim was about to take off her shoes and socks and roll up her jeans to go into the coldy murky swamp to pull her out, Tallulah finally pulled herself out. Kim was pretty mad but I also heard her give a quick thanks to God for all the help for getting the silly Belgian Shepherd out.
Here is a picture of Tallulah after she got out of the swamp - her entire back half is full of mud - yucky!
Here she is having a bath - she wasn't not too happy, but that's what happens when you don't listen to good advice.
Woof!
Cloe and the now clean Tallulah
Tallulah, running through the swamp when you shouldnt reminds us of a book we read yesterday called Because I love you by max Lucado. Mom got the book from the library.
