While many saints are known for the extraordinary things that they did, Ste-Thérèse is known for the little things she did with great love. She liked to keep five beans in her left pocket. Each time she did some act of love she transferred a bean to her right pocket. Her goal was to get all the beans transferred to her right pocket each day.
So today we have a challenge for you!! In honour of this amazing saint, we challenge you to, like Ste-Thérèse, put five beans or buttons in your left pocket and try to do five acts of love (help with the dishes, share your toys, do what mom and dad ask, etc...). Each time you do some little act move one bean or button to your right pocket.
Hey Cloë I just realized that we live near Ste-Thérèse Parish and that once in awhile we go to Mass there.
That's right Tallulah. We'll have to ask our master to take us there again, maybe even this week.
Before we finish for the day, we want to tell you about 2 things we forgot to mention in yesterday's blog. The first is that we have a St. Raphael's Parish and a St. Michael's Chapel here in our diocese. We have never been to St. Michael's but here are a few great shots of St. Raphael's. The current church is on the right beside the original church that burnt down a long time ago. The second photo is what is left from the old church. You can visit the ruins!
The other thing we forgot to do was wish Cloë's friend, Francis Zambon, a big congratulations on his ordination to the diaconate for the Archdiocese of Kingston. He was ordained this past Saturday. Cloë often saw Francis at LifeTeen.
Well that's it for today. See ya - woof!
Cloë and Tallulah
