Feast Day of St. Mark

Q: What did one flea say to the other?

A: Should we walk or take a dog?

Hey Cloë, why was Fr. George wearing red at Mass instead of white? I thought we were still in the Easter Season.

Well Tallulah today is a an important feast day in the Church and the priests wear red on major feasts. Today is the feast of St. Mark! (STRAIGHT ANSWERS—THE COLOR OF LITURGICAL VESTMENTS)

Mark was not one of Jesus' apostles and we are not really sure if he ever met Jesus personally, but Mark did write one of the four Gospels. This was his way of proclaiming the Good News to all the people.

Isn't that sort of what we are trying to do with this blog!

Yup, 2000 years later that is still the job of Christians, to let everybody know who God is and that He loves them.

Click here and you can read about one of Jesus' miracles that Mark wrote about.
