Rules can be a good thing!

So yesterday we were bad dogs. We got so excited while chasing a squirrel that we ran across the street.

Luckily our street is not very busy, but I did hear a car honk at us.

Our master was very mad at us! She told us she did not want to see us get hit and end up in the animal hospital - or worse.

Tallulah and I discussed this while we waited for our master to come out of Mass.

We realized that dogs and kids often don't know what is best for them or what will hurt them. We figured that this was why our master has the rule of not running out onto the road.

You know what else Cloë and I realized about rules? Parents and masters make rules because they love us and want to keep us safe. If they didn't care, then they would let us do whatever we wanted.

I bet that is why God gives us the commandments and some of his other ideas for how we should live, because He loves us so much!!! And he wants us to be happy and safe.

Yup, I think you are right Cloë!

Woof!
